Dear Customer
As part of our ongoing improvement programme, we are now in a position to migrate you from the current server you are on to a new server. The server you are on is quite old and we are taking the opportunity to replace it with better quality equipment and also update the software versions.
The migration will take place over the coming weeks, and we will email you to confirm when your migration has been completed. For updates please see :
http://www.hummingbirdhosting.com/hummer10_status.php
The impact for you should be minimal; however, for information, the versions of software on the new server will be:
As a result of the move, the IP address will be changing for the website(s) you host with us:
After the migration is completed there will be a period of around 24 hours while DNS propagation is taking place. During this time people viewing your website may see either the old server or the new one; once the propagation is completed only the new server will be visible.
The old server will be available to us for a limited time after the migration, therefore we ask that you report any issues following migration to us immediately so that they can be resolved before the server is decommissioned.
Please email support@hummingbirdhosting.com if you have any questions / concerns.
Regards
